The modern "King Pin" of fly fishing retail...Women love him...Carp fear him!!!

 I would never have contracted West Nile Virus were it not for Brian Flechsig!

Perhaps I should have started another way...besides, the West Nile thing is much to long a story for this particular forum. Let's start again...

I would never have caught a carp on a mulberry fly were in not for Brian Flechsig! I would never have caught trout in Patagonia were it not for Brian Flechsig! I would never have had my tackle stolen in Ohio were it not for Brian Flechsig and I never would have learned that certain minor guitar cord were it not for Brian Flechsig!

Although not a life-long friend, certainly a friend for life, Brian and I have stomped a good many trails together...and it ain't over yet! Brian invited me to visit his shop, Mad River Outfitters, in Columbus, Ohio for a couple of days. "Just hang out" he said "mingle and help customers with knots, casting, travel info. or whatever....help them have fun!" The two days flew by and in their wake was a solid friendship.

Since that shop appearance, Brian and I filmed a number of Walkers Cay episodes together. He was the PERFECT show guest; great angler, tremendous sense of humor! What could possibly go wrong?

Lately, we've been doing some hosted trips together and through Brian I've made the acquaintance of a number of new friends and been able to  introduce them to some of my favorite places on earth.

He and I have some innovative plans for the future. Keep an eye on this site for Brian and Mad River Outfitters!
