In 1984 Diane hired Flip as a fishing guide. She really wanted to catch a tarpon but actually caught a tarpon catcher and got herself promoted from client to “Best Fishin Buddy” (some call it marriage).
Since 1984 they’ve fished together all over the world, but if Diane had to pick a venue, I’m betting it would be meadow streams for cutthroat trout in the Rocky Mountains. Diane and Flip spend the best part of their summers there escaping from hurricanes, chasing trout and riding their motorcycle.
Diane is currently recovering from thirty-five years as a flight attendant with National Airlines, Pan American Airways and finally Delta Airlines. Helping her make the civilian transition is painting in watercolors (she’s really good…take a look at some of her work on this site.) and fly fishing (‘good at that as well). Throw in a pretty good New Zealand Pinot Grigio and some string cheese and she’s in for a pretty good climb into BLM.
